One Hour, Two Mice, Like New Again

I have two Logitech mice—one MX Master 2S and one MX Master 3. After years of use, the rubber coating on the top covers of both started to become sticky and peel.

I managed to get spare parts from “Goofish.” After placing the order, the parts arrived in about two weeks.

The parcel arrived today, and after dinner, I spent about an hour replacing the top covers, including the worn-out rubber sections. The process was straightforward and surprisingly satisfying.

After the replacement, both mice feel as good as new. I’m really pleased with the result—they should easily last me another five years.

DIY repairs may take a bit of effort, but they’re often the most cost-effective and rewarding solution.
