Our Seal 6 EV has been with us for about three and a half months now. So far, it’s been great β quiet, smooth, and easy to live with.
Yesterday, it hit the 5,000 km mark, so it was time for its first service. We drove to the BYD Service Center in Basement 1, under Sime Darby Motors on Alexandra Road.
When we arrived, we checked in at the kiosk machine. Right after, we got an SMS saying a staff member would come find us. About 15 minutes later, a friendly staff member came over and helped us fill out the service form. Then we walked to the car for a quick pre-check.
Everything was smooth and well organized. We were told the service would take 2 to 3 hours, and they’d also fix a few small issues we pointed out.
While waiting, my wife and I walked over to the nearby IKEA for a light breakfast β with some Swedish cinnamon buns, of course.
After about 2.5 hours, the BYD staff brought us the maintenance report β everything checked out fine. The car had also been cleaned. We drove back home and had a slightly late lunch with family at Xiao Jiao Tian restaurant in City Square.
