Synology DSM 7 VM was working well in my unraid server after several rounds trying. This is to use DSM surveillance station to host and record videos from EZVIZ camera as home security. It is very easy to check and track recorded videos by surveillance station.
At first, downloaded X86 DSM bootable image and DSM installation package with .pat file . from internet. You can use google to find them.
Here is the setting of my DSM7 VM in unraid server.
At the first startup , please select the 2nd option to boot up with SATA Verbose in VNC screen. After that, just follow the prompted message to search Diskstation by typing the website address “Https://find.synology.com” in web browser.
If everything OK, you should be able to connect DSM VM and follow the steps to setup a new Synology DSM server.
Now, I am happy to have anther DSM by VM beside my original Synology DS918+. 😁
