Reunion Trip – Liancheng

Upon my return to China, paying my respects to my mother is one of the most important things for me.

The journey from Fuzhou to my father’s hometown, Liangchen, takes four hours by high-speed train. Opting for the high-speed train has become my preferred mode of travel for long distances nowadays.

My dad visited the old house where he spent his childhood, only to find it in a state of disrepair and no longer suitable for habitation. Despite its current condition, the place holds countless memories for my dad.

After paying our respects to my Mum, we had a casual chat with relatives. During our conversation, my dad reminisced about his youth and shared stories, including his visit to the old house where he spent his childhood. Sadly, the house has aged considerably, showing signs of damage, and is no longer suitable for habitation.
