My home network upgrading version 2.0 – part I

It is almost 2 years since last my home network upgrading that I changed ASUS AC-88U hardware router to DIY All-In-One X86 software router with unRAID system for the internet connection. AC-88U is only running as WiFi access point.

So far, it is serving well for my Work-From-Home in this COVID-19 pandemic. But there are some concerns.

  • No separated the guest network. Guest is able to access LAN.
  • Network security concern as more IOT devices connected into home network.
  • Will affect internet connection, when doing any change with All-In-One server.
  • Consider to upgrade to WiFi6 with better wireless connection and VLAN setup
  • Upgrade to 2.5G wire LAN network connection with NAS and unRAID server.

Our new outdoor jogging 🏃🏻‍♂️gadget – Huawei Watch Fit⌚️

During the 🔟 🔟 sales, I managed to buy two Huawei Watch Fit ⌚️ at very good 👍price 🏷 in Shopbee. One will be the surprise birthday gift for Ling. The other one is for myself😂.

The previous BD gift – Fitbit Charge 2 is almost 5 years and with black&white LCD. It is time to replace with colour LCD and more functions one. I did homework and selected Huawei Watch Fit as it has a wonderful AMOLED screen, light body weight and long battery life (about 10 days after fully charge). All of this meets my requirement. So it has been in shopping trolley quite a longtime.

As lots of unbox video over the internet, I am not going to show here. Just to show some photo of watch fit and share my experience after one week using.
